Finally got a diagnosis

I had my laparoscopy today, which was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be! So thank you to everyone who offered advice 😊 it really helped to calm my nerves!

I was told by my consultant that I had endometriosis and that I had a few spots of scar tissue. He removed these and then said that “it looks like you have a patch on the right side, but I’m not sure so I’ve left it there.” He showed me the photos and this patch is by far the biggest so I’m not sure why he didn’t remove it? He’s an endo specialist as well so I’m a bit confused but I was so out of it I didn’t question it. I’ve got a follow up in 6 weeks so I’ll ask him then. He didn’t give me any more info so not really sure where to go from here.

The gas pain is by the far the worst bit so far. I’ve got a hot water bottle and a peppermint tea and I’m making sure I get up regularly.

I’ve also noticed that from the chest to the top of my thighs, I’m bright orange. It looks like a bad tan. I hope this washes off!! Does anyone know what this is from?

Thank you again to everyone for your words of encouragement. It means so much xx

The colour is from a type of iodine, they use it to sterilise / as an anti-bac before any surgery, it’ll come off ☺️ x
