Which foods have made your endometriosis better/ worse?

I'm hoping to manage my symptoms through diet. For me personally, it's all trial and error. Still figuring out what works/ what doesn't. I'm just curious as to what has worked for you?

Thank you

I've tried a few things, but the only one that seems to actually make a difference is cutting out high GI foods.

For me it was wheat, sugar, caffeine and alcohol that made it worse, but we are all different in what we react to.

Yes wheat/ gluten was on top of my list too. Also dairy and sugar. Never drank so Alcohol was never a problem. Just wondering if there's anything else I should be cutting out. Although symptoms better I'm still in pain.

Thanks anyway xx

Red meat and processed foods can also be inflammatory so could be possible triggers too.

Hi. I did the endometriosis diet, alongside medication and it helped quite a bit. As already said it’s different for everyone for me pasta ( gluten free is just as bad) is a big trigger, along with pizza, breads, seeds ( pumpkin, sunflower etc), most bought cakes and anything with citrus. Since surgery I have experimented more, if we are out I can eat a slice of pizza with no problem but if for some reason it does irritate buscapan help. Xx

What surgery did you have? Has it helped?

Hi. I had excision surgery and they removed cysts and adhesions as I had a full frozen pelvis. They were unable to remove it from my bladder and bowel. It’s made a huge difference, I’m mostly pain free these days or just need paracetamol and if I watch what I eat the bowel endometriosis behaves to . Xx

Hi. I excluded dairy products, fatty and fried food from my diet, I try to not eat sweets

For me personally it's barley, dairy products and processed foods that cause my flair ups but most recently everything just seems to flair it up so much I don't understand how or why but I'm trying to find other alternatives to try and see if they help , as it stands nothing works at the moment to help give me the relief I need. Although I find doing my yoga and going out hiking does help a little. Xx

I totally understand. There are times where I feel nothing is helping even though I've cut out so many foods! Water is the only thing that doesn't make the pain worse! 🫤
