Finally been diagnosed but overwhelmed ❤️

Hi all,

I went to a&e two days ago as my pain was getting worse and was worried about my symptoms.

They referred me to a gyno ward and have done further examination and was planning to do surgery cause my left cyst on my ovary had moved and has got slightly bigger. The gyno doctor spoke to me and said he looked at my scan and can confirm it is endometriosis as he explained my cyst on my left ovary is next to my right ovary known as kissing ovaries. He wants to fast track me as he doesn’t want the endo tissue growing around my right ovary and the cyst has got pretty big. He also thinks that it may have spread around my bowels etc as I have slight pain when I urinate and opening my bowels.

I have started zodalex treatment and will be seen in between treatment until they book me in for surgery.

I am so relieved that I finally got answers but concerned about how bad it has got. Does this mean I have moderate/severe case of endo? And once I have had the surgery would they be able to test for fertility as I would like to know if there is a chance I can have kids or not in the near future?

Sorry just feel overwhelmed with the results and diagnosis I’ve got and just trying to understand it all still. Thank you again for all your help and support on this page ❤️
