Hi all,

Been a long time since I've been on here! Diagnosed in 2018 and ongoing since. Significant scaring where they attempted to remove and pain is constant

Anyone have any strong pain mediation suggestions?

On mefanamic acid. Tried gabapentin and pre gabalin. Also allergic to codine.

Praying someone can suggest!!

Thanks.xx

Have you asked about referral to a specialist pain clinic? Was the issue with gabapentin and pregabalin that they didn’t work or you didn’t like the side effects? If they did work, there are quite a few antidepressants that can be prescribed for nerve pain, might suit you better.

Another NSAID might work better than mefanamic acid, I did better on diclofenac.

Paracetamol is always worth adding in, I find it makes a difference.

Im allergic to codeine also. I take naproxen and paracetamol together. But as the other lady said worth a referral to the pain clinic. Good luck
