How painful is period pain for you? And how heavy is heavy?

How are you?

Really good question, I asked the gynaecologist I first saw and he said if you had to change pads more than three times. I finally discovered I did have heavy periods.

I’d get painful periods for first day or two until I passed a stool. It was the only time I wouldn’t go every day. Hormones played a huge part in how painful it would be, if I’d got cross and let off steam not as painful. 😂

Mine used to be painful for aday or two now they are intensely painful for up to 5 days. Im really heavy for around 4 days. And my period doesnt fully stop until around 9 days..

There has to be a reason for such a big change. What’s GP said? Have you had a Gynae referral? Even if the GP suggests trying something make sure they do a referral as it’s a long wait list with covid.

I feel like if i go to my gp it will be wasting a lot of time and would like to go private but i dont know where to start..
