Pain Clinic?

Hello everyone 😊

Has anyone else been referred to a Pain Clinic/ Pain Management?

I am currently on the waiting list to be referred and have my first appointment.

Not sure what to expect/ if it will help etc.

If anyone has any experiences and can share that would be amazing.

I had to complete a questionnaire via an App I got send in the post ahead of an initial meeting and still waiting to hear about an appointment.

Hi. They helped me somewhat gave me exercises to do suggested a book and a dvd which have both helped with the pain just not my worst symptoms

Yes. They referred me to medical Psychology and I talk to her once every 2 weeks.

I was given a medicine to block nerves and it helps.

Hi, I was referred to one at the beginning of all of my pain a couple of years ago. I found the Pelvic pain specialist Nurse to be really helpful. She suggested painkillers that my GP had never thought of, she was really supportive.
