Since having my hysterectomy (ovaries are still there) in May this year, I had a few months of being pain free (yay) but now I have been experiencing new pains all over my body and arthritis symptoms in my hands (currently under investigation for this).
I'm curious to know if anyone else is or has experienced anything like this and how to deal with it? I've been off work for 7 weeks now and I need to stop googling symptoms.

Hi, it could be menopause symptoms. When you have your uterus removed it affects the blood supply to the ovaries and menopause will happen within 5 years. I had a hysterectomy and one ovary removed and I had menopausal symptoms within months of the op. I didn’t actually realise it was menopause as I wasn’t given any information. I had hip and back pain, which I put down to my op and painful fingers and thumbs, which I thought was arthritis starting. Please go on the Balance website and search for the Symptom Questionnaire as there’s a huge list of random menopause symptoms and it might help you. I’ve developed most symptoms on the list over the last 4 years and now started on HRT.
