I had my first Zoladex implant two weeks ago. Do they stop your periods from the get go? I was due to come on two days ago but nothing 🤔 normally I'm bang on.
I thought I would've thought I would have at least this period before they 'shut down'.
As you can probably tell, I wasn't given much information before hand!

Hi! Yes mine stopped immediately but I had to have my first one on the 1st day of my period? We’re you not given this advice? I was on Zoladex for diagnostic 3 months, as soon as I stopped them my periods went immediately back to normal. Hope this helps x
No, neither the consultant or the nurse who did the injection mentioned about it being done on the 1st day of my period. Which is why I was expecting to have my period as 'normal' this time.Presume pain gets worse before it gets better? 😣
Hi! I've had three implants and I still get cramps! Consultant told me it takes two months to kick in (or can do) and I have had two periods and one half one two weeks after the last proper period. Three implants in and I'm waiting for improvement! Also have terrible backpain but don't know if that's related. Such a joyful ride isn't it?! Good luck ladies xx
