I applied for PIP a few months ago. I had never considered it before my GP referred me to a support service around my PTSD symptoms. They advised me to apply and helped me with the application.
I have my face to face consultation/assessment tomorrow, I only found out on Monday so its feeling a bit last minute! Has anyone went through the process? Any advice would be great.

HiThere’s a website, benefits and work, lots of advice
Take copies of any medical letters/info, that you can leave with them, plus take a list of what you are giving them and ask them to sign, print, date so you have a physical receipt. You can ask for the session to be recorded.
Make sure you talk about worse case scenario, everyone has better days. Take someone with you if you can
Yes make sure you show symptoms!Show your stress etc.
They try and trip you up with questions.
I remember them asking me could I lift a empty box? I said no because it gave me pain across my pelvis.
My friend had hers and the woman dropped a piece of paper as she was leaving the room at the end of the appointment and Elizabeth lent forward. When the report came through the woman made a comment on her report and reduced the PIP to the minimum amount. While your waiting to go in they can view you by camera too.
Pleased to hear it! They're very stressful situations they put us in. If for some reason you don't get it ( i didn't for my first one) definitely appeal and challenge decisions. Very difficult for any 'invisible illnesses'. Hope u hear good news very soon xx
