Endometriosis symptoms- normal repeat laparoscopy (previously positive laparoscopy)

I’m looking to hear about others’ experiences as I’m totally and utterly confused.

I’ve had pelvic pain since I was 16. Diagnosed as endometriosis aged 23- there was clear endometriosis and adhesions on laparoscopy. Since then treated successfully with mirena coil.

In 2018 I had twin boys and had my mirena replaced within 6 months.

Since then pain has come back- it’s exactly the same as before. I had another laparoscopy after waiting for 2yrs and IT WAS ALL CLEAR.

How can that be? Is it not endometriosis then? Can you have pain with nothing obvious on laparoscopy?

And why is the mirena not helping anymore?

I feel so stupid, I had all my hopes on this laparoscopy helping brilliantly like my 2012 one did.

What should I do next? Had anything similar happened to anyone else?

My daughter is going through the same thing. She has had pain for Six years and is almost 20. Her lap showed nothing but has pain 24/7 and can’t work or go to schools. She had a dermoid cyst removed where the surgeon found weird tissue but said there wasn’t much Endometriosis than said she didn’t think there was any but didn’t know what the tissue was. She has seen so many Gynocologist and is seeing a new one in three days. She takes tramodol with barely any relief . She has had depo shots and mirena coil and Lupron shots with no relief. I wish you luck.
