Successful pregnancy after endo excision?

Ilovemycockerspaniel profile image

Hi! I had surgery at the start of July this year and had complete excision of stage 4 endo. I’m looking for some positive stories of having successful pregnancies as I’ve had two miscarriages prior to excision. Also how long it took for you to have that success after excision.

Thanks so much

So I just had my baby girl June 30th , I had excision surgery in 2019 so it took me about 18months to conceive. It can be different for everyone tho, just keep trying and stay positive xx

We tried for 6 months after excision with no success, went down the IVF route and had a successful pregnancy on the first round. Healthy baby born last year. I’m glad we didn’t keep trying naturally beyond that point because I was 35 and had been trying for years before the excision.

I had a laparoscopy 6 years ago for stage 3 where they heat treated/burnt off the Endo and got pregnant the first month we tried and got a beautiful baby boy. We then had a miscarriage sadly. We were super lucky to then have a baby girl also 17 months after that. I’ve been on the depo injections since. We have decided to try for a third so came off depo and although I’m ovulating haven’t been able to get pregnant again so far. Because of this and the bad pain I’m booked in for excision surgery this time before Christmas (I hope). I have no idea if I will be able to conceive again, they say excision is a more successful technique Than burning but so far haven’t found anyone else facing second surgery who’s had a successful pregnancy after. Im worried about scaring and damage second time round.

I really hope you get your baby. Don’t give up and keep trying. For some people it’s quick but for others takes time but there is hope and lots of success stories out there x
