Hi All 👋 hope ur all doing ok, so this is a bit of a strange one but I've just gone online with my GP so I can order my meds etc, I also have access to my records and I've noticed that they say I have PCOS!! I've never been told this, has anyone else had this happen? And is it quite normal to have both? I have an appointment with my specialist but not till October where I will be asking about this too, but just thought I would ask u lovely lot as u are all the best ladies to ask xx

I’d be inclined to ring and ask to speak to a GP about this.

I feel your pain, currently having frustrations myself on that front. Personally I didn’t think it was too common to have pcos and endo but it is common to have endo and adenomyosis.

Well reading my records it seems I have all 3!! I think they just like to write something cos they really dont have a clue 😂🙄 the whole process is a nightmare! But we just keep going xx

Well just so you know you aren’t alone when I had my very first op via A&E I had a follow up at the hospital 6 weeks later knowing absolutely nothing about what they’d done, but they told me they’d booked me in with the wrong doctor and I should come back in two months to see the “right” Doctor. When I insisted I needed to know something they eventually said they’d get my file and see what they could tell me. When they opened it it was empty. Nothing. No notes, no photographs nothing and that was the end of that. I have to laugh sometimes or I’d cry!! I hope you find some answers. From my understanding pcos has some very clear symptoms so it’s possible you may be able to tell pcos from the endo perhaps. Good luck. x

Sometimes u do wonder about how they work!! And yes u do just have to smile/laugh cos otherwise u would be crying most of the time 😭😂 thanku x

Hi pureunicorn I found out last year from my medical records that I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2014 apparently. I knew about the endometriosis as I got diagnosed with that as a teenager. An earlier on this year I was told I also have Adenomyosis 😬. I think it’s common to have PCOS with endometriosis. I’m just waiting on excision surgery for my endo, which I’m told won’t be till next year now 😬been waiting for just over a year since this pandemic.

Hi Shelly085, they are just great aren't they!! I think I've read somewhere that I have Adenomyosis too!! I've been waiting over 2yrs for my hysterectomy now, they re hoping yo do it this year but they are starting to run out of time 🤣 I've just made an appointment with my specialist so i can ask all of these questions and see what bullshit they come up with this time 🤣🤯!! Fingees crossed u have ur surgery soon xx

I know exactly what you mean, we seem to get over 1 thing then have something else to deal with. Do you have a date for your appointment? X
