Hi I have been diagnosed with endometriosis for about 12 years with varying levels of symptoms and problems over thar time. The last 12 months or so things have been worse and my periods are very irregular and pain increased a lot. I went for a hysteroscopy yesterday and due to bleeding and pain it wasn't successful and they couldn't see or get what they needed. I feel a bit of a failure as I was quite tense going into it and feel that didn't help. Has anyone else had that experience?
I am now being referred for a laporoscopy instead and had this 12 years ago too so basically back to square one. I don't bleed every month but when I do it lasts about 14-20 days and have a lot of pain and bloating prior to this. Also taking painkillers has caused constipation and more discomfort. I currently have the implant and tried various pills and mirena coil before so not sure what they will try next. Just looking to see if anyone has had similar experience and what other treatment they might offer?
Thanks

Heyy there.. I hear you sister .. living with this condition is soo painful & exhausting.. I have recently had a laparoscopy myself and only just been diagnosed.. though I have suffered with pain my whole life..Anyway .. you have been through a lot!
I am on the progesterone only pill.. which has helped a little.. but I suffer daily with pain my self. .
I think more research needs to be done .. but what ever treatment you are given.. I hope it helps .. I wish you all the best..
So sorry I don't have much more advice..
But I hope it helps knowing you are not alone & I feel your pain ❤️❤️
Thank you it does help to speak to others who have similar symptoms or going through the same thing. Thats good you got a diagnosis after having pain for so long. I wanted to avoid another laporoscopy but guess it will hopefully help overall. Thanks x
