Hi, your employer should have an absence management policy, you could ask them for a copy (if you don't have this already). Or you might find it helpful to contact ACAS - they might not be able to give you specific information re endometriosis, but can give you advice/point you in the right direction:

Hey lovely ☺️

You need to know stage of absence management are you at? Stage 1, stage 2, or stage 3? You need to read the policy and know how many sick days you’ve had off to figure this out. Any pattern as presumably around your cycle and what the next stage is.

Then you can work with your Manager.

One option is can say this is a disability and ask for a reasonable adjustment. Which could be wfh around your cycle say. Or lighter or modified duties.

If it’s been going on for a year and significantly impacts your ability to do your job this could be classed as a disability. (If I am

Not mistaken - any HR Managers our there?)

ACAS are brilliant once you’ve got the information I mentioned above.

Sending love as I have been here myself a few times. As I am not working atm, Happy if you DM me x

I haven't taken sick leave before for my period and would work overtime around it. Would be slow during work hours.

Just tell him no as it will push you into absence management and that’s so stressful.

hi sweetie how's u doing today, I'm sorry to hear that ur suffering, I have had this issue in the past unfortunately as far as I aware there's no laws that will help you, unless they sack you from your job then u have grounds for unfair dismissal.my endometriosis is so painful and debilitating that I can no longer work and I am under receipt of pip for endometriosis. it's not fair! it might be worth speaking with a solicitor just to make sure (as laws are constantly changing and updating) 😊I hope you get the help u need but if you need to talk, please let me know xxxx
