Urgent referral

Hi everyone! Want to start off by saying Thankyou for all your support on my last post about struggling to get diagnosed etc you all encouraged me to go back to the doctors and I did just that! So, after they told me my scan was completely normal and nothing to worry about, when I called back to speak to a different doctor she said that actually the doctor that told me that is wrong as there are a couple of things they’re not sure about so it is actually inconclusive! So anyway, after a bit of a chat with this nice doctor she said she was going to refer me as urgent to gynaecology so I could be seen straight away. However she then said ‘so I will ring you in 2 weeks to see how it went and talk about it ’ so I think she was talking about the urgent 2 week referral, what are everyone’s experiences with this?

Hey hun I’ve had urgent referrals a few times in the last year, 2 weeks is their SLA so you will hear from them within that time. Sometimes in person, sometimes over the phone - they will no doubt discuss your results and discuss next steps. If they do offer you a form of treatment I’d just recommend doing plenty of research before you commit. X
