Just wondered if anyone has experienced muscle pain/inflammation in different parts of the body?
I get really bad sciatic pain which through investigations, is how my endo was diagnosed. Have had 2 laps and still get bad sciatic pain. I then injured my right shoulder bursitis nearly 2 years. Then the last few months my left arm from elbow down is really sore, possibly tennis elbow. Now the last few days my chest on left side feels really achy & hurts to touch & this morning it’s worse but with tingling in left shoulder blade.
I’m so fed up, I’ve massively reduced my sugar, caffeine & red meat. I don’t eat dairy, wheat or gluten & I take vitamins. Help??

Hi I get systemic inflammation noticed especially in my face and sinuses which swell up regularly as well as my abdomen. I haven’t found anything that helps but I take ibuprofen when it’s really bad but I can’t take regularly as kidneys affected by the Endo. I was prescribed antihistamine to help and something else they use in dowel cancer but no improvement. Good luck
I'm so sorry to read this. I also get a kind of sciatic pain, which was also how my endo was diagnosed, but the diagnosis of the sciatic pain has since been revised to piriformis syndrome. The pain from this is cyclical, worsening during the follicular phase and then ending with ovulation. Is there a pattern to your pain that you can see?
Like lots of women I've tried various treatments and I've had two surgeries like you, and am shortly seeing a hormone specialist to see how we can sustainably control my hormone levels to reduce the piriformis pain (it was turned off entirely on Zoladex, showing that it's hormone related, but the side effects were horrible for me). Have you investigated those wider treatment options beyond surgery and pain relief?
I’ve asked gp but they won’t do it & am waiting for my surgeon to call me. I’ve asked for a referral to pelvic physio & a dietitian. How did you get referred to a hormone specialist? This is something I definitely need. It’s so difficult getting one person to look at you as a whole I’m seeing physio’s for different things, very frustrating. Thanks x
You're right - it is so difficult for doctors to look at this holistically as they're so specialised, and I'm under the care of various consultants. I did some research and self-referred to the hormone specialist. I'm in London and they're based there.
