Advice please

Recently prescribed mefenamic acid and tranexamic acid , I'm due my period on monday (or whenever it turns up ) I get constant pain so I'm wondering when do I take these mefenamic acid pills as it just states a few days before period, I'm in pain all atime so when will I take them and are they to stop the pain being more intense before the start of the torture during my period?

Hi. I take mefenamic acid throughout the month as I’m in pain more often than not. The gp said this was ok as long as eating before taking as very harsh on stomach. I would check with your gp though as our stage of endo could be very different and hence why my gp is ok with it but yours may not be.

Ahh I wouldn't be allowed to then due to other meds that are harsh I'll just plod along with my "zapper" tens machine lol and take them as soon as period pain starts. Thank you 🙂

Check with GP, Other meds can be a factor, when I took it they also prescribed omeprazole to protect the stomach.

Yeah I take lanzaperol so I know to only take with onset of period
