Post operation what happens now?

Hey

So I was diagnosed with endometriosis on Friday, my surgeon burnt away the endo that was there. They also discovered that scar tissue has formed on the front of my right uterine wall and caused it to become attached to my abdomen. Does anyone else have experience with this?

Also what happens now I feel like nothing has been explained to me at all.

Do you have a discharge note saying where the endo was found and how severe it was?

Hello sorry for the late reply, I wasn’t told much if I’m honest I have no idea what stage or what happens now. On the letter it says it was on my left uterosacrals and that they found adhesions on the right uterine wall attached to the wall of my abdomen, which I have no idea what that means

The mention of the left uterosacral ligament night be very relevant.

The most common location for peritoneal endo (that is the most common form that grows into the peritoneum - pelvic lining) is the pouch of Douglas (a pouch of peritoneum between the back of the cervix and rectum) and the uterosacral ligaments that run along the top of the POD. This is also aloo the most common place for endo to become deep.

We often see ladies have US ligament endo treated by burning and the problem is that it can't be known how deep it was and how effectively it was treated. It will often continue to grow and treatment will be guided by your symptoms. Sometimes the pain is referred to the lower back and down the legs - the left side is much more commonly affected.

Will send you a message as to where to go from here. x
