Hi All,
I've got an appointment tomorrow pm with a new Gynaecologist to get a 2nd opinion on my endo which I'm super nervous about. I have Stage IV now mainly RV endo, had 3 surgeries in 2017 (2 with excision specialist) and a hysterectomy in 2018 (kept ovaries) with same specialist who is my current Gyny. He has only now (when I saw him at the end of last year) suggested getting the Colorectal surgeon involved when RV endo has been my main issue from the start. He admitted it's likely he missed some between his surgeries and I have a few niggles about him, hence seeking a 2nd opinion.
Apart from the obvious what key questions should I be asking the new Gyny to help me make my decision?
For instance from what I've read through in all the files I believe my current Gyny uses scissors for excision whereas others use lasers?
Are you automatically meant to have 2 surgeons if you have RV endo? I think I read some guidelines by Linda that says you should but then somewhere else saw that a skilled enough Gyny can remove it.
If there's anything else I should be asking that's important specifically for RV endo any suggestions much appreciated! I've had all the sigmoidoscopy/colonoscopy/bowrl scans/MRI's previously too.
Thanks in advance! X
