Been there got the T shirt. I feel for you. Basically I was the same until I decided to have a private well woman consultation and they referred me to a private gynae who diagnosed PCOS instantly gave me a laparoscopy and dealt with my endometriosis. I have been under my gynae
25 years with this now. my GP had told me nothing wrong basically fobbed me off due to her ignorance and lack of knowledge. I was also badly anaemic yet she told me I had iron levels of a man. Trouble was she didn’t order a ferritin blood test (iron stores)! I had gone on for years feeling all this was in my mind horrendous ovulation pain and terrible periods with fainting.
You know when you aren’t right so my advice is push forward until you get answers. Take care and don’t give up x
Im in Australia, you can ask your gynae for a deep infiltrative ultrasound, it involves a bowel prep and a has much higher chance than a standard vaginal ultrasound to pick up if there is endo present.
They can also take a good look at your uterus to see if adenomyosis is present.
I'm available over whats app if you need an ear.
Intense pain is NOT normal. Periods are supposed to be mild cramping, that's it!
After my Dr's shunned me away because I refused to take hormonal birth control I went away and did my own research. Rang a endometriosis centre and spoke to their admin team who were like a breath of fresh air!
I went back to my Dr's armed with loads of information and requested they referred me to a specific specialist to receive more adequate treatment.
They did and now my own GP have nothing more to do with my pelvic pain other than prescribe me with painkillers (which I also had to fight for.)
You're welcome to private message me if you would like to.
