I have some mid cycle bleeding and pelvic pain. I was diagnosed in May 2015 but have never really had any symptoms. I’m so scared that the bleeding is something more serious. I’ve got a smear, scan and bloods booked but it’s going to be a few weeks until everything is in.
I’m so frightened.

Hi hun I'm suffering with mid cycle / irregular bleeding as we speak it happens regularly to me and I'm told it's another common symptom with endo. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry as stress and anxiety are known to have an impact on your periods. Sounds like you're covering all the right bases just incase. I'm sure you'll be fine. Sending love xxx
it’s so worrying isn’t it. The waiting is the worst and I’m obviously googling like a mad woman! Silly as I know I shouldn’t but can’t help it. Thank you for replying xx
Hugs hugs hugs! Take a deep breath. It will all be okay.
I have mid cycle bleeding and it’s due to a secondary to Endo condition called adenomyosis. It’s basically the same Endo plants but they grow in the uterus wall. I’m not saying this is what you have but this could be a possibility. Not great but also livable! Likely if you’ve not been given any treatment (contraceptive) your Endo May have progressed in stages. My Endo specialist said that typically pain is Endo and bleeding is adenomyosis.
I have seen many woman suffering with Endo who dismiss their specialists recommendation for contraceptives. Unfortunately by doing this you allow the Endo to party and grow freely. Endo feeds on estrogen, the more you have the more it grows. There are many types of contraceptives now a days and each type has tons of different brands so don’t give up on just one! I haven’t had a period for over 4 years. I do still get spotting but it’s from my hormones not being controlled (I have 17 chronic conditions so it’s complex). I was doing the pill back to back for a couple years but they discovered I have thrombocytosis so it’s dangerous for me to take it. So I switched to visssane and i bled through it, I did a double dose of vissane and still bled. Then I tried the lupron depot and vissane but still had bleeding. And now I’m still on lupron and now have a mirena iud. And guess what, still spotting 🤦🏻♀️. Anyway I just want you to know that not any one medication will work perfect but I do know my estrogen levels are really good and regular now! (The only hormone that is normal lol).
Try not to think about those test coming back. It’s really hard but the more you’re stressed the worse you’ll feel. 💕
Bless you, remember if your drs felt your symptoms needed to be urgently addressed they wouldn’t make you wait, so hopefully that can reassure you a bit. I had mid cycle bleeding and after more investigations than you can imagine, they discovered and removed fibroids. I could have lived with the bleeding as it wasn’t that much but like you, wanted to be sure it wasn’t something sinister. The drs never felt things were urgent and although it felt like a waiting game, they were right. We have to have some faith in the experts sometimes when we’ve done all we can ☺️ Xx
