I had my first operation in September 2017 and was diagnosed with mild endo on the left side, bowel was being dragged down to my ovary from adhesions. I suffered with pain for about a year or so after and then it hasn’t been too bad. I stopped taking my pill in June this year to start trying for a baby, still unsuccessful but now throughout the month I’m getting twinges on my left side and my periods are so painful again.
Currently on my period at the minute and have been getting shooting pains up my bum which are making me cry in pain which is slightly relieved when opening my bowels, they feel like spasms which come and go every so often. Pain during bowel movements. Blood in my poo during period. Got the worst period and back pain, just want to stay in bed all day!
Anyway, I’m going to my GP next month if I’m still unsuccessful at getting pregnant should I mention this then? Would it be worth being referred back to gynae? My GP is awful so I’m dreading it already

I'm so sorry you are struggling so much. It sounds horrific.
Your endo sounds like it was pretty advanced. Did they stage you? With documented bowel involvement it is a legal requirement that you are referred to a bsge centre. Were you treated by one initially? If not after those lap findings, you should have been referred to one. I would be telling the GP under the NICE guidelines you require a referral to your local bsge centre.
They didn’t stage me they just said it was quite mild. I had my operation by a bsge endo specialist in a private hospital which was paid for by the NHS. I was referred back to the nhs gynae and asked for a second opinion back in 2018 but they discharged me and just referred me to pain clinic who weren’t much help and I’ve been discharged from all gynae/pain management for just over a year now. They didn’t tell me how the endo was removed or anything either. I’ll try and make an appointment with my GP this week, I always try and put it off because my GP is so awful x
