Worried about endo returning

Hi, I'm just after a little bit of advise really and your experiences.

I had just under 2 weeks ago where I was diagnosed with endo on my uterus and bladder. I'm not sure of the grade. He said they will write to me with more information but I haven't had that letter yet.

I'm just wondered because he said I should be pain free and it shouldn't grow back for 5-10 years. I have been reading posts on here where it has grown back within months or a year - now I'm worried this will happen to me. How can he be sure it will be 5-10 years? I guess I should just enjoy the time pain-free that I have and stop worrying but it's difficult for me.

I took my dressing off today and everything looks OK. My abdomen feels different though. Is this possible? I used to have constant UTI's and I was so uncomfortable around my bladder. It is a weird feeling at the moment but I guess this is how it should feel pain free. I'm just not used to it.

Thank you. I hope you all have a good weekend!

What your feeling is your body healing itself. What type of surgery? Excision or burning?

Burning results in it coming back since it doesn't remove all the tissue.

I'm not sure exactly on the type. He didn't say and I'm waiting for my letter. I'm not sure how long it will take. I did have a doctors letter which just had the medication I was on and the dose etc and on there it says endometriosis ablation. Not sure if this means anything in particular? Thanks for replying to me

It may come back since it was ablation not excision but if you are a stage 1 (which general gyn always misgrade the higher grades for) it may have worked. The later stages need excision.

If you don't mind me asking, when was your first menstaul period?

I haven't had a period since my op. I have spotting but I'm not sure if this is my period or to do with the op and having the coil. I wish I knew which stage I was but I suppose it doesn't matter, at least they have removed it and I'm diagnosed x

The thing is depending on the stage and where they found it they can't always remove it.

That's the coil, it's gonna take some getting used to: some bleed all the time and others have spotting to none at all.
