Ovarian cysts and endo

Hi all,

I had an 8.6cm ovarian cyst removed three weeks ago now, and they did a histopathology to search for signs of endo. I've just had a letter from the hospital today saying:

'your cyst showed features in keeping with a benign adnexal cyst which was simple in nature. There is no evidence of any cancer or pre-cancerous cells'.

Does this mean that the cyst couldn't have been caused by endo?

I'm so tired of waiting for answers and confused of doctor's jargon. While my symptoms have gotten better, they haven't gone completely. (Less pain is still pain!)

If anyone has had similar experiences or has any answers, I'd really appreciate it ❤️

From what you've written, it doesn't seem that endo is mentioned at all in the summary?

Some things to think about - who carried out your surgery & are they familiar with endo or just general gynaecology?

Can you phone their secretary & ask directly if they specifically checked for endo?

Have you seen an actual endo specialist?
