Have been experiencing really bad abdominal pains and was recently hospitalised with potential appendicitis. Scan came back fine but showed thicken endometrium so have been told to go back for another scan in few weeks. Starting to wonder if I am suffering from endo as I have been spotting (Dr said this is normal for some woman?!) recently and I have always had heavy periods but never thought to much into it. Would endo show up in any scans? Had bloods and urine samples whilst admitted but nothing odd showed up. Just looking for some advice. Thanks for reading x

Aww that sounds awful I had heavy periods for years but then I was experiencing that along with other pains excruciating pains which ended up being endometriosis, I had it for nearly a year last year, I only got seen on the 1st Sept 2020 because of covid arriving, I would see a gynecologist, thats what I did after loads of different blood tests, ultrasounds and everything came black clear. I had the endometriosis of what they found lazored off and have a marina coil now fitted which can sometimes be painful but it has helped with the endometriosis so far, so I suggest getting that, I had spotting for a bit then bleeding but they say that's normal on that and for some on the coil bleeding can be up to 6 months but then it stops.
I would see you gp and get a referral to see a gynecologist, explain to the gynecologist what your experiencing then they should tell you straight away if it endometriosis or not, mine did and she was right.
If it comes back it is endo then rest as much as you can after sergery, hot baths, microwave wheat bag, walks, pelvic exercises.
Hi, so I was first seen with severe abdominal pain especially right side. My appendix was removed, emergency surgery, found appendix was OK, bleeding in pelvis but was told its OK. Gyno checked few months on images from surgery and said he is 99% sure I have endo. I had been in agony during my cycle, heavy bleeding etc etc. All in all, be persistent they check for endo as I am quite sure u may have it. Hope this helps, Also Endo doesn't show up normally on uktrasounds, if any scan then on an MRI endo shows up xx
You need to go A&E... U can't be in so much pain and just wait it out. Or go to ur GP, ask to be referred to a Gynecologist. You need an MRI and better pain relief. Also if u have eucalyptus oil try a warm bath with some eucalyptus oil or if u have a diffuser try few drops of it in the diffuser. Use hot water bottle if u can't get in the bath and put some olbas oil/ eucalyptus oil on ur pillow or clothes and snuggle up in bed with pain medication. I am so sorry ur in so much pain. I really hope, u get this diagnosed. Hoping u feel better soon xx
