Hi all,
During my consultation I was pleased to be told that the risk of a stoma although increased due to how my bowel is attached near rectum, would be low. Surgeon said he was confident that it would not be needed. However, I have just received the letter he has sent to my endo socialist to proceed with a date, and it sounds like the risk and possible stoma is all we spoke about and almost sounds like a certain outcome.
Any ideas if this is just a common tone "just in case" or if this is really what he should have said during our call?
Will i have the opportunity to tell them to leave endo if it looks like removing it will result in a stoma?
My bowel is attached in a number of places, left and right ovaries which I am more confident about.
Has anyone else been through this and ended up with a stoma?
I have been so confident about surgery, but suddenly terrified.
Would appreciate any advice.
