So I have a scan booked for the 9th September and waiting an appointment for gyny.
I have had numerous abnormal results from smears, a lletz procedure. Terrible periods. Bleeding after sex, bleeding in between very irregular periods and bloody discharge. A few months ago I was really struggling with my bowels and the doctor suggested I have ibs. Now my bleeding has escalated and I’m in constant cramping pain. The pain travels to my back and down to my hips. It’s worse at night. Dr finally prescribed me codeine for the pain yesterday. I just want to know do these symptoms seem familiar to you? Was there a time where your cramping became constant rather than just on your period? Symptoms worsened as time went on? I feel it could be endometriosis. I’m 30 have two kids and at the end of my tether. Thanks for reading xx

I feel this way. I haven't had children. (Don't even think i want them...) And recently went on the implant last year. Im 25. The docotors i often speak to about my pain ( with I've had on going since starting my periods have just been shrugged at.) Just getting worse. Im goibg to suggest i may endometriosis. Because its not Sti related. .
I have constant pain every day, whether Im on my period or not. It gradually became constant, first starting not during period, but for the week leading up to it. Then the time in between pain and period started to shorten, now its all the time.
Be pushy with doctors, they kept fobbing me off until I was stern with them.
Hi, my pains were always at the worst during ovulation and my period. This past year I noticed every single month a big difference to my body with the pain getting a lot worse and some other symptoms. It did get to the point where like you I was in constant pain every day including back and hip pain .
My GP recognised it as endo and referred me to see a gynaecologist who didn't seem the slightest bit bothered but I fought for a Laproscopy and now on waiting list for that.
In the mean time I have started taking a progesterone only pill to see if this will manage symptoms until my surgery and after about 10 days of taking them I have noticed it has really made a difference and barely get any pains just the odd one here and there and even then they're not that intense really. Just hope I am not waiting too long for surgery.
Good luck with gyny appointment, be prepared to be pushy if you have too x
All those symptoms could be endometriosis. What sort of scan are you having. I just ask because I had numerous ultra-sound scans and was told there was nothing wrong with me but endo rarely shows up on ultrasound. MRIs are better for picking up endo, but most doctors don't seem to know this and you usually have to be referred by a gynae rather than your GP.
