1 week post op

Hi everyone,

I am now one week post op and I just wanted to see if anyone else struggled with sever moods after the op.

I was totally expecting some mood swings/ emotions/ crying etc but I wasn’t expecting what I have been experiencing the past few days.

The only thing I can compare it to, for anyone that can relate, is being on the implant and the emotions I’ve had from that.

I was due a period anyway and so I’ve had a bleed, I can imagine that the codeine has caused some of the mood aswel along with lack of sleep and general pain - but I have been having horrendous moods, irrational thoughts (all of the things that come with the implant struggles that I have had).

I am hoping they subside very quickly?!?

Can anyone advise??

I’m just a couple of days post op and feel really blue. I think anaesthesia can cause all you’ve mentioned. I hope the feelings pass and your surgery has a positive impact when you feel better. Good luck
