Pain following induced menopause

Hi. I'm new here. I just got the injection to induce the menopause last Tuesday (11th). Since then, my period has lasted 8days and for the last two days I have had painful cramps. I just wondered if anyone else has had this following the injection? I am currently awaiting to get a full hysterectomy once the hospital us given the go ahead to start surgeries again.

Hi, I had the injections before my hysterectomy and had the same problem. My consultant had warned me though, it did stop but I had a few surprise bleeds afterwards but only light. X

Hi I had Prostap I had no menopause symptoms I just bled everyday for 4 months So I stopped them it did shrink mybfibroids slightly but they have increased again I am awaiting an abdominal hysterectomy 😢

Hi I had this after my first injection , from the second monthly injection it stopped my periods. I hope things start to improve for you . I found the injection was effective for me.

Thank you all. I'm glad this is just a side effect and not anything else to worry about. I didn't get much time to look into the injections before they happened it was a week between the consultation and getting the injection.

Things seem to have settled down a bit. I am just waiting on the date for my hysterotomy. I so far haven't had any menopausal symptoms (touch wood) but I am finding that I am really tired and lacking energy.

I'm hoping this passes soon and I get the go ahead for the surgery.
