I went to the doctors on Friday for the usual 3 year smear test. The nurse examined me and said she needed to get the doctor to have a look as she didn't think it looked quite right. The Doctor came in and performed her own examination and agreed that it didn't look or feel right. She said it looked as if I had some scarring and cysts on my cervix and it felt as if I had given birth multiple times. I have had two children both of which we tried natural delivery but we're unsuccessful so resulted in a c section. The Doctor has made an urgent referral to get me checked out at the hospital.
Has anyone else had this? I'm worried sick that it's something sinister.
Please help xx

Easy to say try not to worry, probably won’t help much.
I recently had a CT colonoscopy to check for bowel cancer, negative and goes back to just being the endo. I say just being, I hope you don’t have this either. You do wonder at the time.
Your appointment should still come through quite quickly and your GP has at least done the right thing. There will be many things that cause issues not just sinister things.
Very much so, never realised the complications it can cause.
You’ll probably have various tests. In the last six weeks I’ve had blood tests, ultra sound, chest X-ray, MRI and CT. 2012 was the last time I had a smear test, it would always hurt, a few years ago couldn’t continue.
