Hello all. I’m currently taking Decapeptyl but after 6 months, I received no relief from it. I’ve had 10 instances of random, heavy bleeding and because of that, my consultant wants me to try another drug seeing as I haven’t had a “fair trial”. He said that he’ll send a letter out to me and mentioned either Zoladex or Prostrap being the next one to try.
What are people’s experience with either of the above? Thank you!

I’m on Zoladex with Tibolone (HRT), it’s done anything for the pain, emotions are better. Consultant thinks it’s helping the endo according to the MRI.
It’s a case of trial and error unfortunately with this.
It does seem to work for most from what I’ve seen.
Thank you for your reply! Yeah, my options at the moment are purely hormone based and they don’t really agree with me but I need to exhaust all options to then suggest others! Joys of chronic illness, hey 🤷🏻♀️ X
Has your GP completed any blood tests for hormones? Might give a basis to work with.
I keep checking for results of research in Edinburgh for another possible option.
It’s no wonder GP’s aren’t good at helping, I was looking at the local CCG site and search for endometriosis gave zero results. It’ll be another bugbear I’ll mention to them.
I’m still in denial at looking at it as chronic and a disease. When I see that in the consultants letter I cringe. 😂
