I cannot lose weight due to endo

Hi everybody, I suffer from endo. I am currently on 12 week injections which puts me into a menopausal state, which is fantastic. It has taken all my symptoms and pain away, I get a few side affects, however they are worth it.

However due to my endo, I have gained around 3+ stone which I really need to shift. I have tried everything. Keto, which seemed the best so far, slimming world, high protein, PT 5 times a week and I cannot shift the weight I have gained. I know its harder when you suffer from a hormone and inflammation condition. Really I am looking to see if anybody has any meal plans / online PT who gets what we go through? I'm wanting to make the change and be healthier, but when the effort isn't rewarded with results it is incredibly frustrating and demotivating. Thank you

Hello 👋🏻 how frustrating for you. Have you tried running? It’s a great cardio exercise and burns calories. So good for your respiratory system and releases the feel good endorphins. All round it makes you feel good. I run, and alongside it I eat everything in moderation. No faddy diets - just generally aware of what I eat. So hope you find a way for you that helps. 😊xx

Hello.

I’m having exact same issue. In total I’ve gained 4 stone since I had my left ovary and both tubes removed in sept 2018.

2 of those stones have been gained in the last 3 months I’ve been on decapeptyl and hrt.

Prior to the injections I was successfully losing weight by sticking to a 1300 calorie per day diet (At weekends I sometimes allow 1500) and tracking everything on fitness pal app. And if I managed any exercise it allows you to eat more.

But since the injections I’ve stuck to the calorie counting but just gained and gained, it’s horrible.

Xx

Hi Tracey,

I had the same problem and it turned out to be an underactive thyroid. Have you had your TSH, Free T4, and Free T3 blood levels checked?
