Hope I'm posting right. Diagnosed over two years ago with endometriosis had been in pain a lot longer. I get a week to 10 days of intense, excruciating pain up to my period, and then once I get my period my pain eases. No one i know understands
I work in a stressful job so always on the go. I have insomnia also.
I notice that i can get extremely depressed , emotional and mild anxiety for a few days before the pain starts. Does this happen anyone? Or are they two separate things ?
I also have blurred vision on occasion, migraines. I just dont know if there is a connection. Or if my low mood is not connected.
Thank you.

Hi there! Could the low moods be PMDD? I’ve heard that a lot of women struggle mentally and it tends to be due to that. It’s like very severe PMS.
Personally, I’m very depressed anyway so it’s hard to tell if my moods are 100% linked to my pain - I know to some degree it is since it’s never ending x
Hi there! Yes I’ve noticed it become more prevalent in the last few years too. It’s like clockwork, the 7-10 days before my period it’s this onset of negativity and feeling very down. It used to lift after my period came but now it can last way beyond my period finishing. It’s definitely hormone related and from I’ve read it’s essentially a more intense version of PMS - exactly as Lofty said. Look up PMDD and see if that sounds familiar. I don’t know how to resolve though as they suggest things like talking to your GP... even my gynaecologist specialists don’t know how to help so I’ve decided to change my treatment (well stop it really until I can find something else to try). X
