Pain relief?

I’m seeing a gynaecologist in about 10 weeks. But before then I’m hoping to get an appointment with the GP about pain relief. They were reluctant for years to give me anything at all, especially Zapain!

Zapain doesn’t cut it during my bad flares, which usually last about a week or to. It does ok for the everyday dull pain that lingers. I still feel silly asking for something stronger, but then I remember the countless times I’ve admitted myself to A&E for the pain and ended up on Oramorph anyway!

How did you approach asking for pain relief? What do you use? What has worked for you?

Ps. I have tried 4 or 5 combined pills to help, but I am now wondering whether I should ask about Cerelle/Cerazette?

Thank you!!

Do you take CBD oil? I take that daily and extra with heavy pain at periods. Slowly build it up. It helps with inflammation too. I also daily take (organic) turmeric&black pepper. Turmeric helps with pain and inflammation and also with your mood, there's several ways of taking it, I.e. as 'golden milk', I just put in on a toast.

The only painkiller I can still take is paracetamol as all the others give side effects. So I combine them with Meadowsweet tea (natural asperin that doesn't influence the stomach), and sometimes THC.

There are also certain yoga exersizes and a good probiotic can help too.

I’m on cerazette following my surgery last May and it’s been great, no bleeding, no pain. Before then I used my tens machine almost every day (my main source of relief) heat pads, I tried mefenamic acid but it gave me really bad dizzy spells, I was on laxatives, relaxants, the usual over the counter pain relief. I tried alsorts, I never really found any medication that helped. Xx
