My Gynae has said there’s nothing more she can do for me and has told me to go private as they want me to see the best specialist in the country. Which is obviously going to be expensive. I really wanted a hysterectomy and I know it might not help but I’m down to my last option. I got told it wasn’t an option due to my scans being too clear as they think it’s on my organs, my preexisting heart condition and age. Which is why the nhs can’t refer me, due to my scans.
I’m now locked in a state of being on the wrong medication that doesn’t work and is making me fat. I can’t work as much as I want to. Feeling super low with no hope that things are going to get better. Just waiting for my file to come through so I can book to go private and be forever poor.
I’m waiting for my life to start......and I’m waiting for nothing. I’m so frustrated that I got dealt these cards and my perception of what I was going to do with my life has to change.
Just can’t shake this feeling and feel like I’m stuck where I am.

If she can't do any more for you she should be referring you to a specialist endo centre in tertiary care. The best specialists in the country are in NHS centres and it's outrageous that she says you have to pay privately. That's against NHS regulations.
Disgusting they expect you to pay private !just for a general lap I’ve been quoted 6,600 and I’m told that’s cheap and they are stopping payment plans for surgery now so unless you want to remortgage your house how do they expect you to pay ?horrid .
Even if you saw a consultant privately they can add you to their NHS list, he gave me the option when I saw him in December. I did initially say yes to NHS. I have now opted to pay for Laparoscopy, and if there, includes treatment.
Technically I’m older than ‘average’ for this apparently, but he was really nice about it. I only went to talk re fibroids showing on a scan, but his view straight away was endometriosis and fibroids too small.
Your GP can also refer you to someone else who specialises. You’ll probably have to be firm unfortunately, your GP might be really nice about it though.
