I suspect i have endo, the pain goes up to my ribs on my period. it's dreadful. i'm soooo fed up. and a female GP really told me to lose some weight for it to get better today.
I'm so tired. Realising all these years drs telling me i have ibs were wrong, it's no coincidence my ibs calmed down on the pill which i had to stop bc of migraines. and now my periods are regular again the pain +pmdd is back and worse than ever which seemed to have been triggered by adhd medications? idgi. All year i was told by gp's it was gallbladder pain but my gallbladder scan is fine. after going to a&e i was told i have an ovarian cyst but nothing else explains the pain in my entire stomach.
this sucks.

oh wow really, i have seen a few posts here say the same thing, being told they have ibs and avoiding foods like dairy and gluten which seem to worsen the pain so are tested for crohns ibs...uvwxyz but i but actually having endo. Wish the dr's could connect the dots and ask if symptoms change with our cycles bc it could really narrow down the cause.
The pain has been quite unbearable so i have made an appointment to ask to get a laparoscopy, i'm not really sure how the process works tbh.
Some people with endo go on certain diets. But it's common for people with endo to get misdiagnosed with IBS early on. Google the endo diet if you want to.
A few years back when I was first being diagnosed via surgery, they did it at the general hospital. Now they know that it is in fact endo, my next surgery will be at a specialist centre. There are hoops you have to jump through to get to the place you want. I hope your appointment goes well, when is it?
I hear you. It takes years to get to the bottom of all these issues. For some reasons doctors do not like gynae issues. They somehow think we are whiney kids. My daughter has had lots of issues. Now they are looking for uterine bleeds, so that might be something for you to explore. It took me nearly all my fertile years to get treated. I got a hysterectomy when I was so sick with anaemia, they had to admit something was seriously wrong. My advice is don't give up. One other thing I will say, and it is from personal experience, losing weight is great. I am not preaching. I just know it it's a good thing. I have dropped just one dress size and it has made a huge difference. Don't care about fat shame and stuff like that. I just ditched most carbs and ate tons of veg and protein. It takes a bit of will power to ditch the cake but trust me it is well worth it. Get yourself a cuppa. NO cake. And forgive yourself. It is not your fault you have pain. Keep on, and in the end you will win. And take paracetamol when you have pain, don't tough it out, use the max dose. No more because it is dangerous. But do use it. And you know we all with you. We know the pain!
i don't like cake. my diet really isn't my problem. suggesting weight loss without knowing a persons full history and health is kind of irresponsible but glad it worked for you.
