Endo specialist

Hi all. Please could someone point me in the right direction for finding out if my consultant is an endo specialist and where my nearest specialist centre is? Thanks. UK based.

Hello

So to check if your surgeon is interested in endometriosis you can usually just Google their name and hospital.

For the specialist centres and the registered gynaecologist Google bsge centres and use their search tool to find ones in your area. It's important to note that the specialist centre is only the gynaecologists listed on the bsge website. Any other gynaecologist not in the list but in the hospital they will be general gynecologists and won't necessarily have any interest in endo.

I would also try Facebook groups for recommendations. I went to a specialist BSGE centre and the consultant there who was interested in endo was awful. I have since done more research and found an excellent specialist. This has taken me over two years to do so I hope this advice gets you to the right person sooner. x
