Hi everyone, I'm having my second transfer mid Jan and just wanted to hear some success stories if you have horrible endometriosis but have still been able to conceive with IVF? I have been trying naturally for nearly 5 years and have had one failed IVF I just feel like endo wont let my body get pregnant. Any useful tips or info to help get pregnant with endometriosis? X

I had a laparoscopy and was treated for Endo after years of chronic pain and 3 miscarriages of hard won pregnancies. Post treatment, I had ivf and got pregnant on the first cycle with my about to turn 3 year old boy. Had a second cycle when he was 16 months and got pregnant again with my second son. I think it can depend where you Endo is, but ivf can help bypass the reasons it prevents you getting pregnant. Pregnancy also is ironically the best cure for it. Good luck with your transfer, I hope this is the one for you x
Useful tips for getting pregnant with endometriosis? Getting thorough excision and then trying naturally (unless both tubes were severely damaged by endometriosis and this was confirmed during surgery).
If that doesn't happen within around a year from surgery, maybe go down the IVF route.
I have seen many cases of women with stage 4 endometriosis not being able to conceive even for 8-10 years, then getting complete excision surgery and then trying naturally and conceiving within a few months. I have also seen many cases of failed IVF while having stage 4 endometriosis because the endo is so severe it alters the normal anatomy of the pelvis or it makes the body too inflamed for the embryo to attach. Then these people undergo thorough excision and conceive naturally or go for IVF in case both tubes were damaged by endo.
As far as what to do to optimize the chances of implantation during your second round, I don't know.
Hi. I had my first appointment today with a local IVF clinic and I was told to go straight into IVF treatment. I have severe stage 4 endo and PCOS. The doctor said having surgery would damage my ovaries so has said not to get it and just try and conceive through IVF. I was surprised by this as I thought I’d need surgery to get the endo removed first before having IVF.
