I was diagnosed with Endometriosis 5 years ago, it was a small amount and was lazered off by a general gynaecologist. Although the amount was small, my pain is all consuming and severe. Before I was diagnosed I had been suffering for 8 years and the pain has only got worse with new symptoms.
I have seen two BSGE specialists. The first one I didn't like so I asked to be referred to Guys in London. I had an operation at the end of October and no Endo was found. Prior to this I had also had a clear MRI and Colonoscopy. This got me really upset, frustrated and confused as I was hoping that Endo would be found so I could have some relief from the constant pain.
I went to see my GP and she was just as confused as me. She told me that she can't see any other explanation for my symptoms other than Endo, especially as I was diagnosed with it. I now have an appointment with another specialist in December.
My symptoms are:
•Bloating
•Bleeding and pain after sex (when ovulating and close to period)
•Painful ovulation and periods
•Pain in vagina and bum (dull ache/stabbing)
•Right sided pain (hip, back, stomach)
•Pain when using the toilet (both urinating and pooing) during ovulation/period
•Bleeding out of bum during poo whilst on my period
•Appendicitis like pains
•Pain when running during ovulation/close to period (which I love to do), sometimes I am on the verge of passing out
•Nausea and fatigue
