Help ! Gyne was rubbish completely dismissed me :(

Hello , I’ve recently just has an appointment with a new Gyne as I moved so had to change hospital. Since my surgery back in July I’ve experienced really strange pain in my belly button especially when it’s near when my periods due . When it’s that time of the month the pain increases I feel like I’ve got a constant really bruised belly button to the point i can’t put anything over it like my trousers . The Gyne completely brushed this off and said it’s normal it’s where I’m still healing but it’s been over 4 months all the other scars are fine . So his now discharged me even though I’ve expressed I’m still in a lot of pain he was no help at all . Also I’ve had no luck with falling pregnant and his said i need to try for a year after the surgery naturally before they can help . Me and my husband have been sleeping together for 8 years unprotected and nothing and now I’m still having to wait longer . Feel so lost and hopeless :/ not sure what to do now .

Hi I would definitely go back to your GP and express your concerns about fertility and your belly button . Tell them that you feel dismissed by the consultant. Hopefully you have a supportive GP who will help you through this x

Hey thankyou for your reply , I will have to do this I think , it’s just hard because I don’t have a particular doctor and the doctors is a new one . Hopefully there’s someone normal enough to help me out lol
