Spotting- Who (if anyone) should I ask?

Hi Ladies,

I hope you are all doing well. As we all know, endo can throw up all kinds of symptoms, so when something new crops up it's all too easy to shrug it off as just another symptom.

My usual bag of symptoms in order of severity are fatigue / brain fog, IBS style symptoms (gas / bloating), painful periods and inflammation of my c-section scar.

However, for the last couple of weeks I have had bouts of severe sharp pains that I would have put down to ovulation had they not lasted so long. I have also had two instances of light spotting between periods, neither 'fresh' red blood, both happening a day or two after sex (sorry TMI). On the plus side my energy levels have been great for the last week or so, I have actually felt like a fully functioning, normal human!

What could it be? A ruptured cyst? Do I need to see anyone? I am booked in for a (long overdue) smear in a couple of weeks so should I just mention it to the nurse then, or do you think I should contact my GP or endo nurse?

Sorry for the long post, thanks for reading! Any advice gratefully received...
