Ultrasound

Hi guys

I've just joined here for some advice. Always had horrendous period pain, been on the cerrazette pill to stop periods for a year. Over the last couple of months ive had really deep lower back pain for two/three weeks and then a couple of weeks feeling absolutely fine. Also had bouts of really bad period type pain, pelvic pain, trapped wind, pain passing stools, painful cramps after orgasm. All of this happens at the same time for a couple of weeks in the month but I hardly ever bleed.

Had an ultrasound today and the doctor told me there and then he didn't see anything concerning. Good news obviously but i also am still unsure if what im experiencing is normal or if it could be endometriosis. Would this likely show up on an ultrasound in anyone's experience?

I know how difficult it is to get a diagnosis and am tempted just to leave it and carry on. But when I have the pain and other symptoms it really is hard to live with.

I had a transvaginal ultrasound last summer and no endometriosis showed up then. I had a laparoscopy a couple of days ago and they found endometriosis.

An ultrasound is generally considered quite unreliable, so I’d suggest definitely sticking with it and pushing for a laparoscopy.
