Hi, i'm new here and hoping others may be able to help me as I suspect I have endometriosis but i'm getting nowhere with doctors! I have been suffering off and on with shoulder pain for nearly a year. I started physio about 6 months ago and was told I had a trapped nerve in my neck which was radiating to my shoulder. The treatment did seem to help but since coming off the pill (we were hoping to try for a baby) I have been getting bad shoulder/ neck pains from the middle of my period for about 10 days. I have always had very heavy periods and extreme period pain. Does anyone else have this shoulder pain with endo? I cant get to see a doctor for love nor money - now another four week wait. I don't know whether I should try going back on the pill? Anything I can try for pain relief? I am taking anti inflammatories daily and feel like this will never end. Any help or advice is gratefully received.

Hey, welcome
Ahh I have the same; I get shoulder and lower back pain, and wrote a response to a lovely lady asking about pain. Check it out!

Ask your physio if they can have a look at your lower back, sometimes they'll only look at the thing you've mentioned; mine did a full MOT so to speak lol!
Thank you so much x
Oh and other things you can do for endo to get a diagnosis: keep a month a page diary of all your symptoms, including periods, spotting, ovulation, sex, mark on it pain levels, where it is, what it feels like, how long it lasts, what you have taken medication wise, if you need to take time off work / out of your normal activities, also mark your mood so how you're feeling that day. Keep that and take it to your GP to push for a referral to an endo specialist, they'll then look at your diary and hopefully book you in for a laparoscopy - to formally diagnose your endo or if there's anything else they find similar. Make sure it's an endo specialist as general gynae may not always spot these things.
Sorry forgot to add that in my other post xx
