I have pain in my rectum, dark red blood in poo. I have a mribooked in for next week. Had ultrasound they found that my ovaries are stuck together and are in the middle known as kissing ovaries. I have thickening on the wall of my bowel. I have cysts on each ovary. I have just had a baby 2 months ago c section so I don’t know how it’s grown back so severe. I had op in 2018 in feb to remove cysts and endo. So I’m worried why it’s come back
*hugs*
It must be difficult with a baby having to look after yourself as well.
If even a little endo was left i believe that it will grow back, it is possibly dependant on your estrogen levels as to how fast.
It has been noted in research that estrogen is the "fuel" for endo and endo is reliant on it to continue to grow.
Having a baby may have reduced the symptoms, and it is possible that it slowed down its growth due to your hormone level changes while pregnant. However as soon as the baby is born im assuming that is just goes back to its usual pattern. (I do wonder if like the apparent link of breast feeding aids as a natural birth control wheither it aids as a possible graduation to estrogen levels and as such endo even after birth doesnt seem as sever)
It is also advisable (as i think many women here would agree) that any endo removal be done by a specialist if you want security in the knowledge of its removal in entirety.
You appear to have many complications. That mean your circumstances are complicated to say the least.
Maybe when things have settled and your MRI has been done. Perhaps it would be best to see if there is a support group in your area where you can meet others and talk.
And when you feel ready book to see someone specialised in the endo field, due to individual medical history etc they maybe able to give you some options for your circumstances.
You are a strong person. You have made the first step. Now just take a breath and move forward one step at a time. It maybe slow. But keep going.
