I was initially admitted on monday for an investigative laparoscopy and hysteromy(cant spell). Was told I would need a week off work afterwards. Was far from prepared of what I was waking up to. The pain was immense. I was dosed up with morphine and returned to ward. Surgeon came and said you have endometriosis and I've repaired it... whatever that meant. Gave me 16 photos and off he went. So the cyst and fibroid that I went in for???? So not prepared for what i am now going through. I am trying to stay mobile and potter about the house this week and went to docs thursday to be told i should not be driving... no advice or after care from the hospital at all. Yesterday I done some house hold chores and since then I have been in pain and I seem to have a nerve pulsing in my leg. I am also still bleeding... not a lot but it has been on and off all week. Please help me with any advice on what I should or should not be doing. I have been drinking mint tea. But last night I only slept for two hours. And then was up and down all night. Gave in an got up at 7. Sleep hasn't been great all week

Hey, sounds terrible hope your okay. I would recommend not to drive. I would also recommend to take it easy and rest they told me to potter about but took me longer to recover doing that. I would advice to take 2 weeks off work. Stay in bed move a little take it easy. Peppermint tea is a really good idea. I would replace dressings every 3 days and after they have been replaced 3 times they should be ok to come off. You can wash with flannel it might make it easier for now. If you have any other questions feel free to ask x
The gp has signed me off for 2 weeks to start off with. I do a sit down job but have to drive to work. I have laptop and have suggested to work that I could work from home... that was on thursday after doing nothing for 3 days. Yesterday I done some washing not carrying but hanging. 6 loads. I am now in pain and bleeding again.
