So I had my lap Tuesday, the doctor did not wait for me to come round they spoke to my mum and partner, she told them that they could not find one of my tubes and that they drained a 12cm cyst and they could not find my coil to remove it told them I need to go on the injection to put me into menopause to reduce how inflamed my pelvic area is.
Talked to a different doctor today and they had no clue about the injection so did not get it and I had a scan and my coil is where it should be. I have left hospital so confused and on my discharge form it says they drained a 8cm cyst not a 12. I just don’t really no where to go from here or what to do.

It sounds like the injection they are talking about is GnRH agonist like Zoladex. They inject a small implant like a grain of rice into your abdomen. I had this after my surgery and cystectomy/draining. It puts your into artificial menopause while you are on the drug, usually for 3-6 months. The idea is it shuts your ovaries down so that you do not produce estrogen so your body can recover and hopefully shrink any remaining endometriosis tissue.
Hi could you go to your GP and speak to him/her as they should have a report from the hospital my GP had all the relevant documents. It sounds like they don’t have a clue and you are getting different information, hope you get answers soon xx
