Link between endo and underactive thyroid?

Hi all,

Still having a really hard time, pains still all there and seem worse since my lap where it was cut away.

Just been to the doctors, they think the wound is healing ok etc which was a concern.

Annoyingly the hospital have only told them it is endo but not what or where they took parts away, which was one question.

I have also become very tired, quiet and want to be by myself. Use to be a bubbly chatty person. They are checking blood count and also for thyroid issues.

Is there a link between the 2? Do any of you suffer with both?

They wanted to sign me off for a fortnight but ive had to decline so i dont annoy work. I just want to go back to being myself! Last year i was climbing and holidaying. This year i cant even drive for 5 mins without being in pain and wanting to go to bed.

Exhausted of this all now!!

Sorry for the long post!

Hey, sorry your experiencing this. I totally get it’s so so hard. I had excision surgery and still get pains even though I’m on the pill. I basically carnt not be on some form on contraception with out being in agony. I think you need to try and request your notes so u can see what they have said. I have never heard of a link between endo and thyroid but there is a link between thyroid and PCOS which I also have and they tested me for thyroid problems. But also not sure how long Iv been diagnosed but fatigue comes with endo. So could be that. I would just try to gather all the medical notes & info u can first and go back to GP to connect the dots. Hope this helps x
