Help please....

So my lap is next week and the hospital I am having it done is over an hour away from home. My partners mum was ment to be coming up for childcare but due to my operation date being changed she is now on holiday so a friend has offered to step in for childcare.

My partner is now saying if I have to stay in overnight they want to come home but before they said they would stay in a hotel, i mentioned it to my mum and she said she wants to stay if I have to stay in.

So now I’m so stressed my partner does not drive so it’s down to my mum to bring them home but my mum wants to stay. I don’t want my partner staying if they don’t want to. It’s making me so stressed out and anxious which is really the last thing I need. I don’t no what to do.

Sorry for the long post any advice would be amazing xxx

Hey hun try not to stress depending on what is done you might get home the same day if your taken early. If not a lot of hospitals wont allow someone to stay with you. It really isn't that bad so try not to worry too much x

Yeah my mum wants to stay in a hotel nearby but my partner wants to come home. I’m real hope I can go home after but I’m not sure I will seeing as I’m stage 4 and after reading some things on here anyone else who has been stage 4 the lap has taken a good few hours. Xxx

Yeah it can take a while depending on what they find. And depending on how you are when you come around they may want to monitor you through the night. My first and second I got out the same day but my 3rd when I had it removed I was in over night and when I can round it was sore and had quite abit of bleeding. So worst case you will be in overnight. If your partner wants to go home and your mum wants to stay then its their job to get home not your mums job to ferry them x

Hey not sure if you have had this yet but...

I was stage 4 and my op took 4 hrs. I stayed in overnight. Essentially when you can stand up on your own, pee without help they will let you go!

I hope you get it sorted, If I was you I would suggest kindly to my partner that its something I shouldnt be worrying about right now and to decide what is the plan either way. x
