I wrote a post a few weeks back regarding recurring UTIs. I was being told at times I was on the borderline for having an infection & other times was told I had no trace of bacteria but was prescribed antibiotics anyway as a precaution. The antibiotics seemed to work for a few days but then lose the effect. I had a urine sample sent of to the laboratory and came back with no further action required.
I’m just really stuck with what to do. I’m not feeling any additional pain or feeling ill with it , I just am needed a wee all the time ! I know that sounds stupid but I’m literally weeing like every half hour and it’s really getting in the way of normal everyday life !
I’ve tried drinking loads of water , tried taking the over the counter cystitis sachets , and also drinking cranberry juice regularly .
I’m not due to see my consultant at the hospital until next month - any suggestions on what on earth might help? Sorry to go on !
Thankyou so so much ,
Lucy xx

Hey, sounds very similar to Interstitial Cystitis which can be very hard to manage from personal experience. First thing is to stop with the cranberry juice. It’s okay if you have a UTI but if you just have an irritated bladder it can make things a lot worse. Natural things to look into are DMannose tablets which can help ward off UTIs (they bind to any ecoli in the urinal tract and flush them out) as well as marshmellow root tablets (seriously check out the reviews on amazon for Nature’s Own marshmallow root tablets, it’s all people with IC raving about it). It may also be worth having a look at the IC diet and experimenting if any of the trigger foods could be setting you off? Worth a try xx
