The support that you all provide for each other is wonderful, however sometimes you just need someone to talk to. Our Helpline is staffed by volunteers who all have experience of endometriosis. They can offer support and information or just a friendly listening ear.
Need to talk?: The support that you all... - Endometriosis UK
Need to talk?
Hi Lynne, it would be nice to talk to someone as Ive been diagnosed with endo 7 months ago, but:
1. I haven't been told the level it is at;
2. I do not know where it is based inside me.
What are the opening hours when we can call?
I do have lots of pain, certainly more so since the laparoscopy in September (diagnosis 4 months later...)
The GPs are beyond useless and ignorant. The hospital doesn't answer my questions as they keep telling me that only the Consultant has the answers and since the appointment with the Consultant are months apart, they do not have a nurse to answer questions... I am left to cope solo with pain, worry, anxiety, depression at times.. I would not be worse off in the middle of a desert!
It's just flabbergasting that we are in the 21st century with victorian attitude and lack of capacity towards women's health .
Let's not forget that women represent half the population but I feel an inconvenience to the system. It's as if we have no voice and we do not exist when we have what is commonly referred as 'women's problems ' But to whom is it really a problem?
